Pickled radish
I made this as part of my nourish bowl recipe and I thought I’d do a separate post in case you missed it! Pickled radish is SO easy to make and is excellent in salads, nourish bowls and as an accompaniment to fish or sushi.
The most delish protein pancakes
I love these pancakes when I’m feeling a bit naughty…….however, they are not actually THAT bad for you so there’s no need to feel too naughty!! I added blueberry and banana into my pancake batter but you could try strawberries…
Meal prep 101 - on the go
As promised this is my second in a series of posts I’ll be doing on meal prep! This post should give you some good ideas and inspiration if you are struggling to find easy, healthy snacks that you can take with you when you are in a rush or ‘on the go’.
Socca mozzarella & greens
Recently I was invited to take part in a Williams Sonoma’s cooking class. This is something I did not want to pass up, I’ve had my eye on their classes for some time now and seeing as Bondi junction is my local store I knew all about their products and beautiful cooking space.
Energy trail mix
Just like my breakfast crunch and my salad topper this is made up of all the leftover things I have in my cupboard! Nuts, dried fruit and seeds! I wouldn’t exactly call this a recipe, its more inspiration for when you are looking for healthy snacks ‘on the go’…
Nori Crisps...
My biggest weakness is pretty much anything potato! Crisps, hot chips, mashed potato, rosti, baked potato, fries…. When I started to become a bit more conscious about my health the family sized bags of crisps…
Breakfast bowl
I could have this for breakfast, lunch or dinner! It definitely feels like a meal so is something I would have after a big workout or on my rest day when my body is craving some serious nutrition. I often have this with smoked salmon which works really well! I cook my quinoa as outlined in this recipe.
Meal prep 101 - road trip
You could say I’m a control freak (….understatement!) and as you know from my previous posts I hate being caught out eating bad food when its not on my terms. Cue service stations…
Quinoa brekkie muffins
These breakfast muffins couldn’t get much easier and make a nice variation if you’ve got stuck eating scrambled egg on toast every morning. I say ‘breakfast’ muffins but you could eat them at any time of the day and if you make a few extra…
Acai Smoothie bowl
You can’t go wrong with a good smoothie bowl! I love making this when its roasting hot and I’ve just got back from my run! I find it so hydrating with the coconut water and satisfying….its like dessert for breakfast really!!
Breakfast crunch
This is basically a sweet version of my salad topper it’s so easy and handy to throw on top of fresh fruit, yoghurt, oats, smoothies, smoothie bowls and so on. I normally just use what I have in my cupboard which could include any type of nuts, dried fruit and seeds.
Salad topper
This is so easy and again something I have in my kitchen all the time! Its so handy to throw on top of salads for an extra crunch or in a wrap, on a dip and so on.
Home-made Hummus
I almost didn’t post this as my first ‘recipe’ as it’s so easy to make! But then I suppose I really want to share with you how eating healthy can be so easy, cost-effective, delicious and quick!!
